This compilation of various matches that I have
recorded throughout the '80s and early '90s contains mostly matches played
by Peru. It is very long—I warn you now—so it can only be
enjoyed by the most avid of fans. In most cases, the quality of the
picture is good, even though I had to tape it from Betamax into VHS. In
other cases, the transmission was either not really clear, or the hue was
too red and caused it to look a bit dark. But please take note that I did
this at home with just my VCR, no fancy technology, and sometimes the
tracking in the picture isn't very stable. However, most of the material
included can be seen without any problem. As I detail you the contents of
this tape, you will realise that the sheer quantity outweighs the faults
in its presentation.
When I made this video in 1993 I did it to be able
to carry a bit of all Peru's matches that I used to watch ceaselessly
wherever I went. I certainly treasure this compilation and hope you do as
well, for it not only speaks a lot about Peruvian volleyball, but of the
World volleyball during the 1980s and early 1990s. In other words, everything
I cover on this website! But I only have a limited amount of copies,
so don't be surprised if I'm down to the last five...
